After a lunch break in our appartment and a short nap we packed our photo gear and met with the rest of our group for our afternoon session in an abandoned quarry and a small canyon next to it.
Both locations are really interesting and just a short drive away from the Guatiza gas station.
Today's morning session took place at and around the ruins of a once surely beautiful villa in the middle of a cactus plantation between the village of Mala and the sea.
On the island of Lanzarote and espacially close to Mala there still are a few places where they grow the indian fig opuntia and use it as a host plant to farm Cochineal lice to produce crimson dye.
In the afternoon we drove across the island to the famous Playa de Famara, also known as Surfer's Paradise and "the mirror beach". The idea was to shoot some beach images in the mellow afternoon light and finally the models plus their mirror image during sunset.
On May 5th we departed from Munich to meet with Stefan Gesell and a group of fellow photographers for a model sharing event to take fashon, erotic and nude images of 5 beautiful and talented ladies on the beautiful island of Lanzarote. We were based on the southeastern coast of the island in a small village called Arrieta.
The first session took place on May 6th at a location we dubbed the Miniature Monument Valley. It is to the left and right of the road from Guatiza to Teguise.

We had booked a guided tour from Casablanca harbour to Marrakesh and back before we started our cruise because we did not want to miss Marrakesh. In the end we spent 6 hours in the bus and 6 hours visiting Marrakesh, which was rather exhausting and due to ours being a large group, i did not have enough time to take good photos. Plus my new travel cam, an Olympus E-PL-7 went into electronic frenzy and was not working half of the time. But Tom and me got a first impression and will probably visit again.
Today we planned to visit Uxmal in the morning, stop at Kabah and Labna along the Puuc route and then drive straight on to our hotel in Siho Playa near Champotón to spend the afternoon resting on the beach and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. But as usual we did not spend the day the way we planned it.
In June 2011 my husband Tom and me joined some of my Romanian colleagues for a long weekend photo-trip to the Romanian part of the Danube Delta.
This year Soulbrother and Soulsister joined us on a Safari through the Kenyan Rift Valley from Lake Baringo down to the Masai Mara.
We spent the first night at the Nairobi Holiday Inn, started early in the morning and drove northwards along the Rift Valley to our first stop Lake Baringo.
